2020 Lincoln Birthday Events in Washington, DC

The Commander-in-Chief wishes to bring to your attention the announcement of the events in Washington celebrating the 211th anniversary of the birth of President Lincoln. Since it’s dedication in 1922, MOLLUS has participated in the ceremonies commemorating the birth of President Lincoln. Each February 12, the Commandery-in-Chief has traditionally presented a wreath at the feet of the famous statue of President Lincoln created by noted sculptor Daniel Chester French. A strong turn out on February 12 by MOLLUS Companions and DOLLUS Dames upholds our long tradition of observance. In addition to the ceremonies at the Lincoln Memorial, other activities are being planned by the D.C. Commandery for February 11 and the Lincoln Birthday National Commemorative Committee on February 12 following the ceremonies which begin at 10:45 AM. All activities and registration information is included in the formal announcement HERE.
